Happy 3rd Birthday, MyIGN!
So my attempt to be lazy this week has come under direct assault thanks to my good friends ZeldaSymphony and Devinator22. Also, I guess I should give a shout-out to JoseOmatic for coming up with the idea for this blog. So this was a viral thing in 2011, huh? How come I don't remember? Hmm....
Anywho, here are the rules, if you need 'em:
Rules:
- Just list what your favorite game is for each system that you've played on. If you want to include a system you haven't played, just list the game you want most for it.
- No details necessary, but feel free to add them if you want.
- At the end, just tag 3 MyIGNers. (make sure to notify them on their wall)
So just as an aside, I've only become a serious gamer in the past two years or so, which means my library for older consoles may seem to be a bit limited, so I apologize for that... I think.
I'm also adding honorable mentions to my list, just because I want to include a few games that I have fond memories of, but don't consider to be my top 2.
Nintendo 64
Favorite Game: Conker's Bad Fur Day – one of the only games that made me cry.
Runner-Up: Banjo-Tooie – the perfect 3D platformer and my number 5 overall.
Honorable Mention: Super Mario 64 – the first game I ever 100%'d!
Game Boy
Favorite Game: Donkey Kong '94 – I'll be honest, it's the only Game Boy game I've beaten.
Runner-Up: Super Mario Land – I really need to beat this one day...
Honorable Mention: Tetris – because it's Tetris.
Nintendo GameCube
Favorite Game: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door – one of the few games I'd consider practically flawless.
Runner-Up: Burnout 2: Point of Impact – it shouldn't be a surprise to you that I love Burnout so much.
Honorable Mention: Luigi's Mansion – no way this is my favorite Cube game, but it was friggin' charming, that's for sure!
PlayStation 2
Favorite Game: Ape Escape 3 – such a funny and creative game, and it makes me sad that Sony doesn't care anymore...
Runner-Up: Burnout 3: Takedown – my favorite racing game ever, also makes me sad that EA doesn't care anymore...
Honorable Mention: Ape Escape 2 – don't need to say much about this...
Game Boy Advance
Favorite Game: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga – my favorite game of all time.
Runner-Up: Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World – this isn't cheating, is it?

Also: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ - oh man I love this game so much!
Wii
Favorite Game: New Super Mario Bros. Wii – haters gonna hate!
Runner-Up: Super Smash Bros. Brawl – so many great memories with friends and family...
Honorable Mention: Xenoblade Chronicles – my 3rd favorite Wii game, and one that introduced me to the world of JRPG's (I know, I'm late).
Also: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – the only 3D Zelda game I didn't rage-quit halfway though
Nintendo DS
Favorite Game: Mario Kart DS – the best Mario Kart game out there, definitely!
Runner-Up: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story – a great game, and how sequels should be made.
Honorable Mention: Animal Crossing: Wild World – got me addicted, and couldn't stop playing it!
Also: Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time – a terrible game, and how sequels should never be made.
Wii U
Favorite Game: Mass Effect 3: Special Edition – one of my favorite games of last gen on a current-gen Nintendo platform? Yes.
Runner-Up: New Super Mario Bros. U – it's more Mario, and it's good Mario
Honorable Mention: Nintendo Land – and thus wraps up the entirety of my Wii U library.
Nintendo 3DS
Favorite Game: Super Mario 3D Land – love the "back to the basics" approach Nintendo took with this one!
Runner-Up: Animal Crossing: New Leaf – still addicted!
Honorable Mention: Professor Layton & The Miracle Mask – my first Layton, and now I thirst for more!
PC
Favorite Game: Portal 2 – do I really need to say anything about this game? I think not!
Runner-Up: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: screw the critics and its 74 Metascore, this game is my number 6 overall!
Honorable Mention: Portal. Fine game.
PlayStation Vita
Favorite Game: ModNation Racers: Road Trip – I don't even own a Vita, why is this on my list?!?
That's it, folks! Hope you enjoyed it! Now time to tag people...
