Lots of stuff to cover today, so let's get started right away, shall we?

I've reached 250 followers! Hooray! Thanks to all of you guys for following me and giving a damn about what I write about each week. Sometimes, my blogs only get one or two comments. Other times, they net hundreds! But whether or not you've been following me for over a year, or just recently in the past month, I want to thank you all for your support. All of you guys, as well as MyIGN, has meant a lot to me.

Of course, reaching 250 followers also means that finally, after over one and half years on the site, I'm officially ineligible for Comm Nom. I know a few of you have told me that you'd vote for me today, but – and I said this yesterday as well – unless something drastic happens and I lose a ton of my followers, I'm not going to be winning Comm Nom any time soon... or ever. But a special shout out to those of you who promised to vote for me today. And as a famous poet once said: "Life can be a challenge. Life can seem impossible. But it's never easy when there's so much on the line..."

Googled "myign comm nom" and got this. Hmmm...

Anywho, guess what I got for Christmas? A SHY GUY PLUSHIE! Also, a $20 Steam Card, which I immediately used to buy both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 (for $10! What a steal!). I also got a Snuggie, a few gift cards, some chocolate... you know, nothing special.

Oh, that thing in the corner? It's just a brand new black smudged-up fingerprint-filthy Deluxe Set Wii U. Ya know, nothing special.

Oh who am I kidding?

Yeah, I got a Wii U for Christmas. Actually, it was a family present from my dad... which now that I think about it doesn't make much sense at all. But whatevs. Nintendo's latest toy is now in my hands, and I am loving every second of it. Me and my brother hooked the thing up in my dad's room since my grandma came over for Christmas and is hogging up the TV with all these Asian dramas that I don't understand. But its been fun. Really fun. More on that soon.

Did I tell you how long it takes for this damn thing to update?

A few things I want to address first, though. 2013 is here (well, almost, at least), which means it's time again to start anew. Last year I tried to do a ton of these personal blog thingies, which is great, but I think its time for the Battlestriker Blog (which, by the way, is something I just totally made up on the spot!) to evolve into its next form... more on that later as well!

So yes, thank you all for reading, whether you're a follower or not, and enjoy your wonderful holiday! As for me, I'll be recovering from me getting my wisdom teeth pulled (which is painful! Seriously!) and playing lots of Wii U, so if for some reason you find that I've suddenly disappeared from MyIGN... BLAME THE DENTIST! (Or Nintendo... whatever is more socially acceptable...)
