A look back at me, one year ago to today.

Wow. Has it been one year already? It felt like just yesterday that I joined this community, and now here I am, celebrating one year here on MyIGN, and bringing along with me over 100 followers! But before I go any further, I'd like to tell you a bit about myself.

I wasn't really all that into gaming until around Christmas of 2010. I mean, I've always loved playing video games. My affinity for all things Mario should have been enough evidence of that. But in terms of understanding the industry I knew little. I didn't know when Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out. It just popped up at my local Target! I didn't understand what DLC was, nor did I know what GOTY stood for. That's not to say that I didn't play games. My N64, GBA, and PS2 were dear to my heart. They still are. My point is that this community has made me understand more about the gaming industry. And to that I give my thanks to each and every one of you.

To me, the MyIGN community is more than just a place to talk about video games. It's a place where people talk about video games because they care. It's a place to share thoughts, to open people's minds to the gaming cultures of our world. Yes, there are some idiots here on MyIGN, which is the main reason why many people tend to shy away from and/or leave the community, but most of us aren't like that. Most of us actually care about what we're talking about. We love discussing games, which is why I love it here.

Why else do I love this community? Look here:

"This is perhaps one of the best sum-ups of Nintendo's goings-ons for some time now. That is to say, I liked this a lot."

Jack19992 on my summary of Nintendo's plans for 2012.

"I love speculative blogs, and specific predictions make them even better. Thou art followed without hesitation."

ZanetheWise on my predictions for Nintendo in 2012.

"That's a lot more researched and well written than the other blogs I've seen on this exact same subject. So kudos for sure on that one."

GodOfMoogles on my list of 10 Nintendo franchises that debuted after Pikmin.

"I did enjoy this despite the fact that I just picked up the game and haven't cracked it open yet... good post!"

- bugsy326 on my Xenoblade Chronicles impressions.

"This is the sort of thing I follow people for."

unoclay1 on my PlayStation Vita impressions.

And, of course, this:

"That's really cool! In fact, it's so cool I decided to promote it on the Wii page. ^_~"

Aminka on my list of 100 Wii U rumors.

It's comments like these that keep me blogging. And being featured on IGN's front page? Wow. Honestly, I feel that MyIGN has played a huge part in improving my writing skills, and I'm proud to be part of the community. So to that, I say thank you to all of my followers, whether you've been following me since I started, or if you've just recently discovered my blog.

One more thing though before I go. There are some bloggers out there that are really hard-working people that don't get the attention they deserve. I'd like to spend a few seconds mentioning some of these people. I hope you guys can go check them out if you can.

DarkerRyan – Although Ryan joined the community just a few months ago, I feel that he's already great blogger that writes so well. He's really similar to me in that he loves Nintendo as well as PC games! You should really check his stuff out when you can.

flavi0 – I'm always intrigued by the things flavi0 writes, especially when it comes to Sony and Nintendo. He's been around MyIGN since last October. However, he only has 12 followers. Me being one of the 12, I'd like to change that, so check him out when you have time!

I'd also like to give a shout-out to unoclay1. Somehow, he's been able to comment on almost every single of my blog posts since he started following me late last year, even when no one else cared to comment. Thank you, unoclay1, for doing that. I really appreciate it.

Also a quick thanks to ZeldaRacer and 81jono81 as well. Though unoclay1 beat you guys in the sheer number of comments he made, you guys come in close second. I really appreciate you guys' prolonging support on my blogs.

And of course, thank you all for reading and following. 100 followers? A feature on IGN? Who could have imagined. You guys are great. Thanks again. I love it here.

Now that E3 is finally over, it's time to get back to regular blogging. I have a bunch of impressions and reviews lined up for you guys, so be on the lookout for more blog updates these coming weeks! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful summer! ;D
